Injectable: multiple myeloma: 16mg/m2 given as a single IV infusion over 15 to 20 mints. Administer at 2 week intervals for 4 doses then after adequate recovery from toxicity at 4 week interval oral.

Multiple myeloma: Initial dosage: 6mg (3tablets) daily. The entire daily dose may be given at 1 time. Maintenance dosage: 2mg daily may be instituted when the white blood cell count (WBC) & PLATELET COUNT ARE RISING.

Epithelial ovarian cancer: 0.2 mg/kg daily for 5 days as a single courses. Courses are repeated every 4 to 5 weeks depending upon hematologic tolerance.

Tablets- store in refrigerator, 2-8ºC protect from light Injection- store protected from light and moisture at a temperature no exceeding 30ºC

Rapidly inject 10ml of the supplied diluent directly into the vial of lyophilized powder using a sterile needle (20 gauge or large needle diameter) and syringe. Immediately shake vial vigorously until a clear solution is obtained. This provides a 5mg/ml solution of melphalan. Rapid addition of the diluent followed by immediate vigorous shaking is important for proper dissolution. Immediately dilute the dose to be administered in sodium chloride 0.9% injection to a conc. Of not more than 0.45mg/ml

Reconstitute with supplied Diluent further dilution is carried out with Normal Saline.
